Meet the Chef
Meet Chef Zach Davis
Chef Zach Davis has lived and breathed the culinary world since the age of 13. He began his journey in the kitchens of Pueblo, Colorado, working his way through every station before earning the title of Executive Chef by the age of 18. Just a few years later, he purchased his first restaurant and made it his own.
Determined to deepen his expertise, Zach left Colorado to study at Le Cordon Bleu in Scottsdale, Arizona. There, he co-founded a successful catering company and restaurant, blending classic technique with bold creativity. When his mother became ill, he returned to Colorado to be closer to family—reopening a catering business and restaurant in Pueblo. As her condition worsened, Zach made the heartfelt decision to step away from the industry to care for her full time.
While supporting his family with a general contracting and pool and spa business alongside his wife Kelly, another opportunity eventually led him to the Ozarks. Life threw unexpected challenges—including a serious car accident and multiple surgeries, Zach found his way back to the kitchen as Executive Chef at Whispering Woods Cabins and Grill in northern Arkansas.
Zach has cooked for celebrities such as legendary singer Tom Jones and UFC Hall of Famer Dan “The Beast” Severn. Today, he lives in Mountain Home, Arkansas with his wife Kelly and their two children, Jaxon and Arielle. When he’s not in the kitchen, he enjoys time outdoors with his family and dog, caring for loved ones, and living a life guided by passion and purpose.
“Cooking is an act of love. It's not about money or status—it's an act of love. A recipe has no soul; it’s up to me to give it soul, to give it purpose.”
— Chef Zach Davis
