Whispering Woods Resort has a rich history dating back to the early 1940s when it was built by Cecil and Irene Jennings. Initially, the resort served as housing for workers constructing the nearby dam. The stone building at the heart of the property once functioned as a wash house for cabin guests, providing essential amenities during that time. What is now our beloved restaurant originally operated as a quaint country store, serving the local community and visitors alike. Today, Whispering Woods continues to blend its historic charm with modern comforts, offering guests a unique and memorable retreat in the Ozarks.
The Grill offers both indoor (100 seats) and outdoor (40 seats) dining, accommodating up to 140 guests, with many seats boasting stunning views of the lake.
